GPU Benchmark — Test Your GPU Performance Quickly & Easily — Driver Easy

If you want to find out how fast your graphics card is, what it does best, or whether it supports DirectX 12, you can use a GPU benchmark. A GPU benchmark tests your GPU and gives you information about its speed, memory capacity, and power consumption.

You can run a GPU benchmark easily and quickly! Just download a benchmark program and run it. There are many different programs, each designed to test a particular aspect of your GPU. Some of these programs are free; others cost money.

To run a GPU benchmark test

A few weeks ago we showed you how to find out what graphics card you are running. We also told you about some of the different benchmarks that exist to help you decide whether it is worth upgrading.

But there is another way to look at things — namely, the cost of each card relative to the price of the computer itself. This might seem like a strange thing to measure, but it actually makes sense. If you buy a $1,000 PC, you want to know whether spending $100 more on a better graphics card is really worthwhile.

The problem is that most people don’t have access to a graphics card that costs $1,000. So let’s see how much money you could save by buying a cheaper card. Let’s start with the cheapest option, which is the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti.

This card is relatively affordable, but its performance isn’t great. In fact, according to our tests, it performs worse than the Radeon RX 460. However, it does come in at around half the price of the RX 460.

If you’re looking for something slightly faster, consider the Radeon RX 560. At $200 less than the RX 460, it offers similar performance to the RX 460. And since it’s still pretty cheap, it’s probably worth considering.

Next up is the RX 570. It’s almost identical to the RX 580, except that it uses GDDR5 memory rather than HBM2. Because GDDR5 is slower than HBM2, the RX 570 offers roughly the same performance as the RX 580, but at a lower price. Again, it’s a good choice if you’re willing to sacrifice some speed for savings.

Finally, we have the RX Vega 64. This card is far superior to both the RX 570 and the RX 580, offering nearly twice the performance at a fraction of the cost. For example, the RX Vega 64 costs $400, while the RX 570 costs $300. Even though the RX Vega 64 costs more than double the price of the RX 570, it delivers over three times the performance.

So now you know how much money you could potentially save by choosing a low-cost graphics card. Of course, you don’t have to go for the lowest-priced card. There are plenty of cards priced well above $1000 that offer excellent performance. Just make sure that you pick the one that fits your needs.

Method 1: Benchmark your GPU with UserBenchmark

UserBenchmark is a free tool that allows users to benchmark their computer components. You can choose what tests to perform, such as CPU, memory, storage, and video card performance. You can even compare multiple devices together, and see how each performs compared to one another. This method takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Method 2: Benchmark your GPU with Unigine Heaven

Unigine Heaven is a free benchmarking tool that allows you to measure the performance of your graphics card. You can easily set up your system and run some stress tests.

What to do if the result is not what you expected…
